Investing in Our district’s future
On April 8, Pine River-Backus School District residents will vote on a 2.75% capital projects levy.
If approved by voters, the levy would provide $896,000 a year for 10 years to fund these critical projects:
Why a Capital Projects Levy?
A capital projects levy would provide stable, dedicated infrastructure, transportation, and technology funding and allow the district to focus its general fund on student achievement, curriculum and programming, and support efforts to retain and attract quality staff.
The school board proposed a capital projects levy to fund these essential investments as it spreads the cost across a broader range of properties in our communities.
Addressing Essential Needs
A voter-approved capital projects levy would provide Pine River-Backus Schools with dedicated funding for essential projects to maintain our buildings and vehicles for years to come and protect funding in our operating budget for the quality education we provide.
